Position Summary

Worldwide Zoo Consultants (WZC) is thrilled to partner with an exciting new project in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia. The project entails the management of a state-of-the-art VVIP private animal facility operation dedicated to the comprehensive care of a diverse range of animal species (both terrestrial and aquatic, domestic and exotic). The collection begins with ungulates, reptiles, insects, birds and fish with plans to expand by introducing primates and other mammals in subsequent phases.

As Veterinary, you will be responsible for the safeguarding, well-being and welfare of our animal residents. Your primary responsibilities encompass the attentive care of all animals entrusted to the facility, the meticulous maintenance of their habitats, and fostering a positive team approach within the project.

The Veterinary is an integral member of the management team to plan, direct and oversee animal health programs for animals. Demonstrate excellent representation of the Company at all times through a positive, can-do attitude and teamwork focused work ethic

Animal Care:

• Promote the mission of Worldwide Zoo Group as directed by the Managing Director.
• Build strong relationships with all clients and provide world-class customer service to all guests.
• Oversee animal health programs.
• Knowledge of current health status of collection.
• Manage diagnostics and treatments.
• Collaborate with the animal care staff.
• Organize and maintain pharmacy and surgery areas.
• Oversee medical care of animal rehabilitation program.
• Assist with post-mortem exams.
• Assist with maintenance of animal health records and preventative medicine program.
• Conduct animal health research projects and prepare the results for presentations and reports.
• Assist with conducting health certification exams for animals and participate in transport of animals.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Visitor Engagement:

• Engage with visitors and provide information about the animals and their conservation needs.
• Answer questions and contribute to the educational experience of our guests.

Team Collaboration:

• Work collaboratively with other animal care staff to ensure seamless operations.
• Ensure proper inventory levels of medical supplies.
• Undertake daily check on medical reports within the Projects Department to ensure the highest level of safety, courtesy, education, efficiency and operational readiness at all times.
• Communicate to Animal Collection Supervisors about any animal health concerns to develop and implement a care and treatment plan.
• Compliance of all policy and procedure documents.
• Assist in emergency situations to minimize damage, loss or injury to guests, team members, animals or company property.
• Mentor junior staff and maintain the highest standard of guest service.
• Other duties as assigned.

  • Possess good verbal and written communication skills within the English language.
  • Conduct themselves in a professional, positive manner with co-workers and guests.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working as a veterinary with various animals
  • Accredited college or university degree required in Veterinary Medicine.
  • Currently a practicing veterinary

  • Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.

  • Requires the ability to perform the physical, visual and hearing requirements in the working conditions below.
  • Upon employment all team members are required to comply with the standards, rules and regulations, which may be established by the Company and updated from time-to-time. Team members who violate property rules or have irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
  • The leisure business functions seven days a week. Due to the seasonal nature of the industry, team members may be required to work varying schedules, weekends, holidays and overtime to reflect the business needs of the property. Team members may also be required to attend group and/or department meetings in addition to the work shift as necessary.
