Tommy Wilken
A passionate, globally savvy professional, Tommy Wilken is the founder and managing director of Worldwide Zoo Consultants. Tommy has extensive experience in business development, project startups and successful project management in multiple countries worldwide.
Overseeing operations and management in zoological parks all over the world, Tommy is a proven leader. He manages a large global team responsible for design and planning, project management and delivery of best practice animal operations. Tommy has interacted with executive management in a variety of nationalities across several different countries.
A natural born passionate animal lover, Tommy has extensive experience in working with a variety of animal species. He is a hands-on leader who has managed daily operations and completed large projects in zoological parks and aquariums across the globe.
Respectful, hardworking and resourceful, Tommy is dedicated to solving problems and simplifying solutions. He has donated volunteer hours helping orphaned primates and endangered marine mammals, and assisted with the rescue, rehabilitation and release of 500 African penguins after the Treasure Oil Spill in the early 2000’s. Tommy enjoys an excellent rapport with colleagues and clients and is fluent in English, Afrikaans, Spanish and basic Arabic.
