    Worldwide Zoo Consultants is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Small Animal Keeper with a specialization in reptiles and fish. As a Small Animal Keeper, you will play a vital role in providing expert advice, reporting and anomoles, maintaining high standards of animal care.

    • Animal Care and Husbandry:
      • Provide expert care and husbandry for animals, ensuring their well-being and health.
      • Maintain clean and safe enclosures, including tanks and terrariums.
      • Maintain accurate records for all animals under your care.
    • Customer Service:
      • Offer exceptional customer service by providing information and guidance to the client on reptile and fish care, habitat setup, handling of animals, and product selection.
    • Enclosure Setup and Maintenance:
      • Monitor life support systems maintaining reptile and fish habitats, including providing guidance on filtration systems, decorative elements, plantings, lighting, and heating.
      • Regularly clean animal enclosures, tanks, and display areas.
      • Replace substrate, water, and decor as necessary.
      • Ensure that the animal areas and environments are clean, organized, and free of hazards.
      • Monitor and perform routine maintenance on equipment for reptile and fish habitats, including filtration systems, lighting, and heating.
      • Knowledge of small animals, reptile and fish species, their care requirements, and common health issues.
    • Working environment:
      • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
      • A passion for animals and their welfare.
      • The ability to grow through supplied advanced training and education. 
    • Previous experience working with small animals, preferably with a focus on reptiles and fish.
    • Strong knowledge of small animal, reptile and fish care, including habitat requirements and nutritional needs.
    • Exceptional attention to detail and communication skills.
    • Enthusiasm for sharing knowledge and passion with others.
    • Ability to lift and carry items, including bags of pet food and aquarium equipment.
    • Dedication to the welfare and well-being of animals in your care.
