Worldwide Zoo Consultants is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Small Animal Keeper with a specialization in reptiles and fish. As a Small Animal Keeper, you will play a vital role in providing expert advice, reporting and anomoles, maintaining high standards of animal care.
Provide expert care and husbandry for animals, ensuring their well-being and health.
Maintain clean and safe enclosures, including tanks and terrariums.
Maintain accurate records for all animals under your care.
Customer Service:
Offer exceptional customer service by providing information and guidance to the client on reptile and fish care, habitat setup, handling of animals, and product selection.
Enclosure Setup and Maintenance:
Monitor life support systems maintaining reptile and fish habitats, including providing guidance on filtration systems, decorative elements, plantings, lighting, and heating.
Regularly clean animal enclosures, tanks, and display areas.
Replace substrate, water, and decor as necessary.
Ensure that the animal areas and environments are clean, organized, and free of hazards.
Monitor and perform routine maintenance on equipment for reptile and fish habitats, including filtration systems, lighting, and heating.
Knowledge of small animals, reptile and fish species, their care requirements, and common health issues.
